Chemin Urbain V from Nasbinals to Avignon (Trailer)

Chemin Urbain V from Nasbinals to Avignon. (the complete way with Arlette and Daniel is 329 km in 18 days)

Urbain V le Bienheureux
A Grande Randonnée path and a new adventure for Arlette and Daniel who will make you discover 700 years of history throughout their journey between Nasbinals in Lozère and Avignon in the Vaucluse.
329 km over which we walked in a nature that remained authentic and diverse.
18 stages at our own pace that we filmed day by day, discovering a mosaic of landscapes in Aubrac, the Cévennes or the Gard.
Urbain V is a pontifical path as a pretext for a spiritual and cultural journey, but what we appreciated the most is the feeling of freedom, these wild paths, these significant differences in height that make us walk in the ridges with breathtaking landscapes.
In 1361 Guillaume de Grimoard was Abbot of the Saint Victor Monastery in Marseille. He will be elected Pope in 1362 under the name of Urbain V; man of peace, builder, humanist and who gives his name to the GR 670.
We will follow the Urbain V path with the help of the guidebook and the app on a route marked with its red and yellow coat of arms.
this path will lead us to Grizac where he was born in 1310 and we will finish our route in Avignon where he died in 1370.
Urbain V will be buried in the Saint Victor monastery in Marseille where he was Abbot. During the revolution her remains are moved and to this day no one knows where she is.
